Dust Of Yesterday

Written by Lillian Ugwu
If only she had known
What today would hold
Like a dust it all wiped
Hardlcan she recollect anymore
Could it be that she is empty?
Her world now in isolation
Confusion, hers to feed on
Endless aching unconsoled
Causing her to unravel, falling to her knees
Panting heavily
Intimidated by fear
Crossroads unreachable
Possibilities like  blur reflections
Though she cherishes the quick intervals
Of the evergreen blissful memories
Unhappy burden still dwells rough
Dust of yesterday, a sordid parasite
An awful wreckage of depression
Causing a brain disaster
Deepening sea of nowhereness.
